Tuesday Thoughts And Why An Action Plan Is Not Enough

compliments to NTS photography

Hi friends, how are you? These following thoughts are fresh on my mind. They are things I am struggling with right now at the end of this year. My hope is that these thought challenge you in some way. Credit goes to Terri Savelle Foy and Brooke Castillo. Two ladies I call my companions. And to a dear friend who is helping me get clear. You know who you are and I love you. If I am not where I want to be in life, in business, then I ask myself:

  • What advice would you give to someone in your situation?

  • What do you want to do?

  • What would make this situation better?

  • What actions do you need to take to change things?

  • What are you doing that is blocking your desired outcome?

  • What are you doing that is moving toward your desired outcome?

What I am really good at is beating myself up after getting my answers.

The cure?

Compassion.

I am trying to fully understand the thought pattern underlying my actions.

And why I am thinking that way.

I am doing things that are distracting me from my desired outcome.

I am trying to understand myself first before I change anything.

Or I repeat the same !

First compassion, then understanding and love.

Force doesn't work.

The energy needed to continue is not sustainable.

Does my action or inaction seem illogical?

Lets find the reason behind it.

How?

I need to be curious.

So do you.

Instead of forced motivation I want to find the thought that is creating motivation and determination inside of me.

I often try to overcome my lack of motivation by force.

And I am stuck on the hamster wheel and run out of steam.

Also, the big question that is not easy to answer whatsoever:

Is my reason for the new action strong enough?

What is my reason?

Can it fuel me through all the roadblocks?

Once I have it and totally align with it, I practice it and practice it some more.

I write it. I say it. I memorize it. I let it fuel me.

More next week.

You are loved. Deeply loved. Loved beyond measure.
