Tuesday thoughts and a summer bucket list

Hi Friends, What did you implement last week?

I was inspired by a picture on Pinterest about a summer bucket list.

I mean, last summer everyone's plans were changed involuntarily, right?

Also, my youngest daughter inspired me by her summer bucket list!

What a fun idea.

Before I share some ideas, please know that there was first an Intention.

Plans don't just appear, nor do experiences and fun memories just happen.

There needs to be an intention first.

In the picture, you see two pieces of art my daughter and I painted at the beach.

It was on her summer bucket list. I know she wanted her friend there, but she was busy that evening. I do hope she will take her friend before summer is over.

How did I end up there? I had craved being at the beach, so I went (she said no), and then texted her later to see if she wanted me to pick her up and bring her. Then, she said yes and brought her paint, brushes and canvas.

Notice the two intentions.

1.) I was very intentional about connecting with her. (I have to find other ways to connect with my youngest son; beach isn't his thing.)

2.) She was very intentional about crossing off one item on her list; painting at the beach.

We enjoyed the time.

So here are some low budget ideas for your summer bucket list.

  • have a picnic with a view

  • make s'mores around a fire pit

  • get up early and watch the sunrise

  • do a drive-in or outdoor movie

  • put out a slip & slide in the yard

  • make homemade pizza

  • paint at the beach/park

I would love to hear your ideas. Just reply to this blog :)
