Tuesday Thoughts And Magic

Hi Friends,
I trust you resonated with last week’s theme of experiencing pain. It is something that affects all of us. To lighten things up a bit, I was inspired by a German street magic duo, Siegfried & Joy, performing tricks — well see for yourself:). You don't need to know German, it's all performed without words and pure wonder. Watching them reminded me why I love the idea of “magic” so much. And then, I heard a line on a podcast that stopped me in my tracks: “You are the magic."
You Are the Magic
When I first started coaching, it was because a coach had done what felt like magic in my own life. She helped me see possibilities I had buried under years of self-doubt, fear, and overgiving. I was so moved by the transformation that I wanted to pay it forward — to bring that same magic into other women’s lives.
It reminded me of something essential — something easy to forget when we talk about coaching, healing, or growth. A coach doesn’t give you magic. A coach doesn’t swoop in like a fairy godmother, waving a wand to make your life sparkle. What a good coach really does is help you remember that the magic has been in you all along.
You are the one who shows up for the hard conversations.
You are the one who dares to dream again.
You are the one who takes the next small, brave step.
Think of a flower bulb buried underground. From the outside, it looks like nothing special — just a rough little lump in the dirt. But inside, the blueprint for beauty is already there. With the right conditions — warmth, light, water, and time — the bulb doesn’t become something new; it simply unfolds into what it was always meant to be. That’s what happens in coaching; the magic isn’t handed to you from the outside. It’s already within you, just waiting for the right moment and support to bloom.
When we forget our own magic, life can start to feel small and gray — as if we’re just going through the motions, waiting for someone or something to rescue us. Believe me, I was there. For many years I felt like that. But the moment we realize we are the ones we’ve been waiting for, things start to shift. And not everything shifts at once. For me it was one thing unfolding after another.
Actually, I am still unfolding. There are new blossoms that want to see the light of day. Some I don't even know about yet. And just like a flower I planted a few weeks ago, where the dried blossoms drop seeds into the ground and it grows another flower! Just like that, we need to go through the wilting and dying of one bloom, so it can drop its seeds and get ready for a whole new cycle.
Because our experiences give us wisdom, and they are building blocks of our lives. we need them to shape us. They have their perfect place. By the way, Coaching works not because the coach has all the answers, but because the coach helps you reclaim your own power, your own wisdom, and your own sense of possibility. That’s the real transformation — not becoming someone new, but finally stepping into who you’ve always been.
Here is this weeks affirmation:
The power to transform my life lives within me.
