Making Decisions

Let's talk about making decisions. I don't like to make decisions. At least the old me before I decided to go on a self growth journey didn't like making decisions. I was actually quite good at it when I was in my late teens. That's how I ended up living in the states. And I'm getting good at it again.

Our brain want's to tell us "Wait!!!!" "What if....?"

What if it doesn't work? What if I fail? What if I loose money? What if I embarrass myself? What if they won't buy it? What if my business won't take off? What if it was the wrong decision? What if I speak up and there'll be tension? What if it's too late? What if she says no??

Well, in my oldest son's case, she said yes!!! He made the decision to follow his family to Florida, to start dating, and to allow himself as his good NJ friend said: "Get out there and get your heart broken." Something a mother could never say :). His willingness to make decisions paid off. He met his soul mate, and I couldn't be happier for the two of them.

What if he hadn't moved? What if he hadn't had the courage to date again? What if he let his past dictate his future?

Making decisions is not easy. BUT it moves you forward. What if you couldn't make the wrong decision? What if everything worked out just as it 's supposed to? You won't know until you try.

Here are some decisions I have made lately. I decided to go to networking events. I decided to have uncomfortable conversations. I decided to speak up for myself when I needed to. I decided to go to a follow up meeting with a business owner from a networking event. I decided to learn more about investing. I decided to join a group of coaches where I will be coached hard to try new things and it wasn't cheap.

You have to invest to get results. Invest yourself. Invest your time. Invest your money. Go all in. As I'm writing this, I happen to know that my daughter's boyfriend will propose to her tonight. He decided. He showed up. He invested. He decided to ask.

Nothing good comes from being stuck. Get moving. Good things will follow.

You are loved. Deeply loved. Loved beyond measure.

Until next time, Isabelle
