I'm fascinated with a book I'm (finally) reading by Terri Savelle Foy called, Dream it-Pin it-Live it !
It's about creating a vision board, but not just the how, the WHY.
Everything ever created started with a vision.
The wedding dress my daughter Bianca is wearing started with a vision. Her wedding day started with a vision of where it should be, and what it would look like. They didn't just come across Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota, they knew what they wanted and had a clear vision.
Goals are just written out visions with a deadline.
I won't get into detail. What I'm taking away from the book so far is to
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH WHAT CAN BE.
First thinking about it, praying about it, writing it down, and of course looking at it. Having it consistently in front of your eyes. Because when we surround ourselves with what can be, we are growing into that future self. And we are more likely to create those future circumstances. There's a lot more to it that I don't have time to go into in one e mail. But if I caught your interest, that's a start.
Do you want to be debt free? Do you want to have a house by the lake? Do you want to finish your degree? Do you want to travel? Do you want to write a book? Do want to teach a class? Do you want a better relationship?
Allow yourself to dream. Allow yourself to take that dream and put it on a vision board. Allow yourself to write out the goals that accompany the vision. And stay tuned : I want to host a vision board workshop soon.
And as a follow up to last week's confession: I believe I'm better now, I allowed those yucky feelings to take their course and didn't resist them anymore. It was truly freeing. I'm sure there are many more lessons out there for me. As my mentor likes to say:"Bring it on!"
