Sunday Step Up And Wanting

Hi friends, how are you?

This topic came up in a few conversations this week and I just have to share it. Is wanting bad? Is it selfish? That's what we were taught, right? Most of us anyway. What I am learning, and other beautiful ladies and gentlemen in my circles , is that wanting is good.

We knew this as children. I mean, think about it. Have you ever seen a toddler who doesn't ask for what they want? When they want it? And how they want it? They ask. In fact they ask with great determination. They don't ever wonder if their wanting could be too strong, or if they could bother you with this request, or if its bad timing or too expensive.... None of these thoughts cross their minds. They. Just. Ask.

We, on the other hand, have tons of thoughts. We think we don't deserve it. We shouldn't want it. It makes us selfish or look bad.

But what if wanting is just part of how we are created??? Are there righteous wants? Wants that would make us better and therefore make us a better instrument in making the world around us a better place?

What do you want? Could it be a part of your road map that God has for you? Ever thought of that?

Let it sink in. If I asked you now: "What do you want?" would you tell me: "I don't know?" I give you permission to write down all your wants. On paper, WITHOUT judgement.

What if it is part of who you are created to be to fulfill your assignment here on earth. What if?

You are loved. Deeply loved. Loved beyond measure.

Until next time, Isabelle
