Hi Friends,
Thank you for your feedback on creating versus reacting from last week.
Stop Waiting for the Big Bang – Start Lighting Sparks
Do you want to change your life?
Then stop waiting for the big bang. That one magical moment that’s supposed to shift everything overnight. The truth? It rarely comes. And honestly—it doesn’t need to because real change starts small. With sparks.
Your life is not a random accident. It’s not determined by your past, your ex, or your circumstances. Your life is shaped—day by day—by the small, consistent choices you make.
No magic spells. No overnight success. Just science, intention, and a little sprinkle of Aristotle.
Habits Are Like Plants
At first, they’re invisible. Quiet. Easy to overlook. Like a seed planted beneath the surface, there’s no immediate reward. No fireworks. Nothing dramatic. You water it, tend to it, and sometimes wonder if anything’s happening at all. But under the soil—where no one can see—something is happening. Roots are forming. The foundation is growing strong. And then, one day, a tiny green shoot breaks through.
That’s how your new habits work. The early days feel awkward. Uncomfortable. Pointless, even. But every time you show up for yourself, you’re strengthening your inner roots—your identity, your resilience, your self-trust.
And just like a plant doesn’t grow by being yanked out of the soil to check its progress, you don’t need to keep questioning whether it’s working. If you keep showing up, it is.
Think of a River
A river doesn’t start as a mighty force. It begins as a trickle. A few drops of water running down a hill. But with time—drop by drop—it carves valleys. It shapes landscapes. It becomes unstoppable just like your habits. Just like your healing. Tiny actions, repeated over time, shape the course of your life.
What you do today shapes your tomorrow. And what you repeat every day decides whether you end up in a life full of “What ifs…” — or a life where you proudly say, “YES, I nailed it.”
You don’t have to rush or prove anything. Like a river, your strength is in your consistency, not your speed. Every small decision—every time you speak kindly to yourself, set a boundary, or take one brave step forward—adds to the current. And over time, without force or drama, you’ll look back and realize: you’ve carved out an entirely new landscape. One that reflects who you are now—stronger, wiser, and fully in your power.
Like the Moon
The moon doesn’t rush to become full.It waxes slowly, phase by phase, always changing—always evolving. And yet, even when it’s just a sliver in the sky, it still shines.
You don’t have to be “whole” or “healed” to be radiant. You don’t need to have it all figured out to show up for your life. Just like the moon, you’re allowed to be in progress and still bring light to the world.
Here’s the science behind it: The brain needs about 100 repetitions of a new action before it accepts it as a habit. After that, it takes less mental energy. It becomes part of who you are. Just like you don’t have to think about how you make your coffee or drive your car. You did it so many times, you don't need to think about it.
That means your first 100 days are golden. Harder, yes. But once you’ve crossed that threshold? Momentum carries you. You no longer try to show up for yourself—you just do.
What Does That Look Like After Divorce?
Let’s get real. Life after divorce is a storm of emotion, identity shifts, and practical chaos. But this is your time to take the wheel. Here are three simple sparks to start with:
Read for 10 minutes each night instead of scrolling your ex’s social media. Feed your mind with truth, healing, or adventure—not regret.
Take a money class, even if it scares you. Learning how to manage your own finances is one of the most empowering things you can do as a woman building a new chapter.
Go for a daily walk with music that lifts you up—no goal, no pace to keep. Just movement. Just you moving forward.
You don’t have to do it all. But you do have to start. And these are easy to implement. Ten minutes is doable and you can talk yourself into doing it.
No Excuses.
Not another Pinterest quote. Not another plan you never act on. Just real-life momentum—and maybe a friendly kick in the butt to get moving.
You want transformation? Then stop waiting for permission or perfection.
Start lighting those sparks. Today.
This weeks affirmation:
Today, I start small.
