Tuesday Thoughts and Overwhelm

Hi friends, how are you? We all experience overwhelm. In our families. In our jobs. In general, with all the choices and decisions we need to make on a daily basis. Sometimes overwhelm happens because we are in a difficult life situation. Sometimes overwhelm happens because we are procrastinating In both cases, take some time and start with this exercise: Take a piece of paper, and write down ALL your thoughts. Write down everything that is swirling around in your brain. Then take a look at it and ask about each thought you wrote :"Is that true?" Really ask yourself and wait for the answer. Even better, how would your best friend answer this question? For example: "I have too much to do." "I'm getting too old for this." "I'm not good at this." "This will never change." What would your best friend say? What is the truth? Then process those feelings that come up with each thought. After you thoroughly felt your feelings, it's time to move on to the next step. It might be a big to do list, or an overwhelming situation with your spouse or child, or a never-ending frustration at work, it doesn't matter. The next step? Make one decision. Take one action according to that decision. And put that action it in your calendar. I know you can do this. For example: Choose the most important thing from your to do list and focus on that. One thing. Choose one action concerning your troubled relationship. For example: Message Isabelle :) Choose one action at work. For example: Envisioning how you want to show up the next day is very powerful. You have done life so far, and you have handled everything on your plate so far. You can take the next step. Then feel the success and the motivation and empowerment will grow. . Worry just drains your energy. Use that energy for the above processes and see what happens. In my video I share a story that literally just happened. And I'm not proud of it. It shows you what happens in my life when I don't do what I just asked you to do. Where do you need to make a choice ?
