Tuesday thoughts and What We Can Learn From a card Game

Hi Friends, What did you implement last week? Did it help you to see yourself older and wiser? I hope it motivated you to implement good goals and have a beautiful vision for your future. Today I want to focus on something we have all done in our lives. Play a card game! Do you have a favorite game you played as a child? I grew up in Germany and all I remember is the name of the game, not the rules. It was called Mau Mau. For me, card games are fun and light hearted! I know there are some who play seriously but I'm a life coach by trade, so I will just list a few benefits and life lessons from recreational card games.

  • it connects people of all ages

  • it is lighthearted and fun

  • it’s easy to include somebody who is new to a group

  • it keeps the mind sharp (I played with my dad when I visited him in Germany and saw that he was still sharp)

  • it's a great way to engage with friends

  • be positive - winning AND losing are part of the game

  • use your skills - the more you use your skills the better you will fare

  • be realistic - adjust your expectations

  • be determined - never give up and always give your best effort

  • be present - focus on the moment at hand, not on last game or the following

  • be teachable - someone might know the game better and can teach you

  • be humble - learn from your mistakes

  • be proud - celebrate new skills learned and games won

  • be positive - don't be a complainer if you have been dealt a bad hand; make the best of it

  • be a team player - be happy for others when they win

  • have fun - learn to laugh at yourself and learn to laugh with others!!!

Life is like a game of cards; The hand you are dealt is determined; The way you play it is up to you!

Think of last weeks' blog. You can change your future set of cards depending on how you plan your future. You have a lot more say in this game of life than you think. It all starts with one small decision and then the next.

PS: Message me for a free consult to start moving toward a more confident you.

You are loved. Deeply loved. Loved beyond measure.

Until next time, Isabelle
